Collection Timeline

The collection timeline organizes all items in the collection into a clear timeline. The timeline starts by showing the oldest items, and as you scroll down the page, you will find the newer items. This view of the collection allows you to see which items were made at similar times, so you can get the greater context of what was collected.

1950 to 2025

1950
A printed kitting pattern for speedy slippers. The paper is discoloured from use. It features a black and white picture of the slippers on the front of the pattern and a continuous pattern on the back. For the alternate text of the pattern, please contact the author of the site.

1960
A long piece of wood lies flat on a brown carpet, lengthwise to the camera. It consists of three pieces of wood stacked on top of each other and held together by butterfly thumb screws. These screws also hold the piece together at the ends of the wood stacks.

1970
A quilted blanket featuring a patchwork of flower fabric and a white fabric with nursery rhyme characters drawn on using fabric paint. The quilt is finished with a crescent fabric edging around the entire blanket, except for the top, where a blanket stitch is used.

1971
A purple and white quilt. It features patches of white and purple fabric on the front and a purple back. The two pieces of the quilt are held together by the hand-tied quilting method.

1980
A circular tree skirt with a white base and green edging, and small holly berries going around the edging. It features a picture of a bear wearing a bow, accompanied by two red Christmas presents and a ball on either side. This same image repeats around the skirt four times.

1989
A rectangular doll pillow with a ruffled edging made of blue, yellow, pink and white yarn. There is also a doll blanket made out of the same yarn. It is rectangular as well, but does not feature a ruffled edging; instead, it has folded edging.

1990
A rectangular rug that is meant to hang off the wall. The background is brown, and in the center of the piece is a ship made with dark blue yarn. It has a few stains on the sides of the rug.

2015
The object is a long sweater made from a simple knit stitch. It is made of multi-colour yarn in blue, red, and gold.
A grey, blue, and white knitted cardigan with a hand-designed tapestry knitting pattern on the back. There is a Blue Jays logo on the right sleeve and my brother's last name, which a piece of folded paper has covered, and the number 76, his baseball number.

2023
It is a circular drawstring bag made of two different shades of purple yarn and has beaded accents added to the bag. It is lined with a black acrylic fabric.

2024
It is an airy poncho that changes colour through the pieces, starting with a strip of gray and then mixing between purples, pinks and blues.
A circular bag made out of granny squares and lined with fabric. The project is made from white chunky yarn and multi-coloured blue, yellow, and red chunky yarn. The fabric inside the bag is yellow, with red dots scattered throughout.

2025
The item is a green and purple poncho with beads incorporated into the crochet work. It uses a fluffy yarn and a multi-texture changing yarn.
