- Story:
- The origin of this object, other than as a tree skirt, is unknown. It was not made for a specific person. Great Grandpa Patricia just loved making rugs so much, and my mom decided to take the Tree shirt with her when the family was cleaning out my great-grandparents' old house. My Grandma remembers cleaning out my great-grandparents' attic, and she says there were 20 to 30 rugs up in that attic. She had to slide them down the stairs to get them all down because there were too many to carry down alone. My grandma and mom remember how much great-grandpa Patrica loved rug hooking. My great-grandparents had a small cottage on the lake, and they had a big loom that great-grandpa would work on for hours. When looking at the rug, my grandma said that it seems like his style and something he would enjoy making.
