- Story:
- When great-grandmother Lenny made the quilt for my grandmother, she had been out of the house for a while, so she does not remember her mother making it. She does think back fondly to all the times she watched her mother craft and make.
- My Grandmothers Point of View:
- The gift meant something to my Grandma because her mom made it for her and not long after her wedding, Great Grandmother Lenny passed away. The Quilt was one of the last things that her mother would have made, and she made it for her. My grandmother's sister was given gifts from their mother, and this was the first gift my grandmother received from her mother. My grandma remembers her mother being creative; she was always doing some craft, and she was always humble about what she created. Those are the memories that come to mind when she looks back at this quilt. My Grandma has kept this quilt in a bag stored in her closet because it meant so much to her that she didn't want to damage it.
